Fui entrevistado pela revista Mundo dos Super-Heróis, para a edição 14, que sai este mês. A matéria ficou bem legal e dá um panorama bacana dos trabalhos que fiz (inclusive alguns de muitos anos atrás, que quase não lembrava).

Just writing this journal to say i’ll be in New York ComicCon, on Feb 6, 7, and 8 on Jacob Javits Convention Center, NY.
I’ll be in the Artist Alley doing commissions and selling some original art and books. My table number is 2384-2386.

Please, if you are going too, feel free to pass by to talk!

I´ll also be signing at DC Comics booth:

Friday: 2-3 pm
Saturday: 6-7 pm
Sunday: 4-5 pm

Este mês, chega às bancas a revista Wizmania #9, onde eu fiz, em parceria com Marcelo Campos, a sessão “Dicas da Quanta”.
Nesta edição damos continuidade a aula que fizemos alguns meses atrás, falando sobre perspectiva.

Aqui vai os scans (em baixa resolução, obvio) e quem tiver interesse procure em sua banca mais proxima.

Estou bem ansioso para voltar a SP para lançar “Overdose”, a continuação de “PowerTrio”,  revista independente que fiz ao lado de Mateus Santolouco e Edu Medeiros em outubro. Ela é a segunda parte da trilogia “Sexo, Drogas e Rock’n Roll” que criamos.

O lançamento acontecerá na próxima sexta-feira, dia 16/01, a partir das 19h, na Quanta Academia de Artes. Quem puder chegar lá para bater um papo, tomar um birinaite e talvez até comprar um exemplar, está mais do que convidado!

Juntamente com o evento, estaremos também inaugurando a edição paulista da exposição Quadrinhos em Quadrões, que traz uma história em quadrinhos criada por mim, Davi Kalil, Julia Bax, Roger Cruz, Renato Guedes, Mateus Santolouco e Edu Medeiros totalmente feita em telas de 1×1,5m.

Surprisely I was nominated for Favorite Breakout Artist for my work in Blue Beetle.

Its funny the thngs we can find over ebay. Few months ago i did a Rocketeer commission for a friend. Now you can have this commission… or almost. The “amazing” artist Anthony Cacioppo  has copied this drawing and he is now selling at e-bay. Of course, without authorization or even credit.  You dont have to pay 100/200 bucks for an original piece anymore you can have an “almost” original piece for just 35 bucks. check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370139398598. The only problem here is that someone forgot to mention to him that it’s ilegal….

Hey!

Hope everybody have had a nice new year eve. Mine was great. I was with my friends in a very simple and cool dinner.
The year has started really good… Newsarama made a list of 9 creators to watch in 2009….im not one of them but im one of the runners up, and im happy anyway (cheers to my friend Rafael Grampá, who is also on the list, and is the real one to be watching). Other cool think that happened yesterday was that Blue Beetle, the book I used to draw is in the Comic Book Resources list of the 100 best comics in 2008.  Niiice.

Here is a commission I did last night… first drawing of the year!
